ECESIS – project aimed at the increase of level of knowledge of the local administration staff in the sphere of information management.

Project ECESIS - "Educational Centers' Network on Modern Technologies of Local Governing" was prepared in 2008 by the initiative group which included several universities from Germany, Poland and Ukraine. At the end of the year 2008 it was selected by European Commission for financial support as a result of expert evaluation. 

The main objective of the project is to implement European methods of information management into practice of local government institutions in partner countries (Ukraine, Russia, Moldova and Armenia); organization of constantly operating centers for retraining, development of curricula in information management and foreign (European) languages for state employees.

The project is coordinated by Professor Troitzsch of Koblenz-Landau University (Germany), who actively works in the sphere of organization of international cooperation in frames of the TEMPUS program. Unlike previous projects, where number of participants included 3-5 members, this project is considered to be multinational (8 countries and 2 more countries represented by experts), involving totally 19 partners.
